– FAULKNER HOUSE BOOKS

“What do you get when a New York financial analyst applies his dialectical skills to a kidnapping on the streets of the French Quarter—amidst rumored voices from the afterlife—of which he is deeply skeptical? You get Dashiell Hammett meeting Anne Rice, with a twist of Dan Brown thrown in.”

–LOUISIANA WEEKLY

“The new Frank Corso mystery provides the Creole flavor of New Orleans merged with high finance, murder, and just a bit of Hoodoo.”

– GARDEN DISTRICT BOOK SHOP

“The Divine Travel Agency spellbinds as it unravels, each chapter revealing a new dot to connect, and out undaunted Corso navigating his way to the connections. It’s an ambitious, touching, absorbing debut.”

“I am so grateful for the opportunity to narrate the Audiobook for The Divine Travel Agency, and bring Frank Corso to life! The author’s ability to take the reader through the allure of New Orleans is magical! It has mystery, supernatural, love, life, and humanity…it is real!”

– TOM VERA, ACTOR

“A love letter to: The mystique of New Orleans.”

– NEW YORK, NEW YORK

“The Divine Travel Agency is an all-encompassing book filled with mystery, spiritualism, history, and local New Orleans flavor. A riveting page turner, the writer skillfully navigates the reader through a series of intertwining events with a diverse cast of characters. The layered story lines make this book a captivating read.

Franco Corso embarks on an investigation that would change his life forever. He not only delves into the world of corruption, mysticism and love, but ultimately finds the true essence of family, tradition and faith. Never having been to New Orleans, I will definitely reference this book in getting around town, visiting the sights, restaurants, and drinking holes one can only find in The Big Easy.

Hope there will be a sequel to this story following Franco on his next journey! Definitely would love to see the characters come to life on the big screen. 5 Stars! Fantastic read!”

“A good read. I really enjoyed the lovable characters and references of New Orleans. Being from Nola, I can really relate.”

– HOUSTON, TEXAS

Most impressive is the extensive research on a variety of subjects....ranging from the Occult, Bible, Business, Voodoo and Hoodoo, etc. I found all of these subjects to be both interesting and educational. The story is riveting, and an easy read. Any Louisianan, or persons who have visited New Orleans (and have read this book), will feel completely at home. The Author names the streets, major sightseeing musts, in such a clear way, that one feels the wonder.”

–BARNEGAT, NEW JERSEY

I have known the author for years, he is a very intelligent man, I knew he was a wordsmith from conversations and professional documents he has written, but this book is by far the best thing I have ever seen from him.
The authors sophisticated mind is on full display. The protagonist is relatable, the arch of the story weaves a complex web which however never loses you or it’s focus. I highly recommend this!

“This is really First Class story telling. I’m a spy novelist junkie. Frederick Forsyth has spoiled me. I buy too many novels, read the first 10-15 pages and throw it aside. I waited for more with every turn of the page. Frank Corso is a winner.”

“Very well done, great stuff, I love it.”

“I couldn’t put it down wondering what happened to the girl, and what next?”

 –NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA

“Intrigue, what you expect when reading a novel based in New Orleans. Lots of character development, from all walks of life, including the ‘supernatural’. Leaves you hopeful for a next novel!”

 –PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

“A suspenseful thriller, mixed with powerful themes.”

–LINCOLN, RHODE ISLAND

“Like the original James Bond Novels, The Divine Travel Agency combines espionage thrills with a deep sense of place (and food). At the same time, there is spirituality underneath the story that elevates it above standard thriller fare. We are left wanting to see more of our hero, Frank Corso’s journey.”

–CAMBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS

“A superbly weaved narrative! An emotional ride of murder, mystery, and deception.”

–EAST GREENWICH, RHODE ISLAND

“I love the mystery and characters in this book. A very engrossing story.”

–HAMMOND, LOUISIANA

"I am so glad I had the privilege of reading your intriguing book. I absolutely love it. I was 100% speculative about it because of the “supernatural” element mentioned on back cover. But, WOW! You made it interesting, credible and completely within the realm of the possible. In my opinion, your story was more complex than most, many stories within the story which could be difficult to read; however, you not only accomplished it, you did so masterfully! I was hooked from the very start and thoroughly enjoyed the entire read!"

In this first of a new series of novels, investigator Frank Corso endears himself to the reader by revealing his frailties (he drinks too much, swears a lot, jumps into bed with beautiful women yet hesitates with matters of the heart and commitment). Put together with his unusual investigative abilities, including an eidetic memory which, as the novel progresses, allows him to connect the dots in various ways ultimately revealing the truth, the reader cannot help but appreciate his finer qualities that appear as we get to know him better: an intrinsic kindness, a deep sense of the value of family and faith, an openness to helping others in trouble. Frank is very likeable, and this creates a bond between the reader and Frank that lasts throughout the novel and beyond, facilitating an easy leap into his next adventure.

Frank is an investigator of business financial propriety and his work involves basic fundamental research leading in some cases to exposing a posturing business as a fraud (e.g., Enron). In this novel he uses similar skills as (prone to helping others) he discovers and puts together the pieces of information surrounding the mysterious disappearance of a young woman mystic. Set in the colorful French Quarter of New Orleans, the story is enriched by many local references, as well as mentions of Frank’s roots in the North End of Boston (which also explains his sometimes-undecipherable accent).

The colorful characters and descriptions of delicious food and family gatherings throughout the novel bring a warmth and depth to the novel that do not deter from the pace of the discoveries and building excitement of the story.

Voodoo and Hoodoo practices common to the area are woven into the fabric of the story, adding color   to the mystery yet not fully explaining the startling! explanation for the disappearance.

The mystery unravels as Frank puts together bits and pieces of evidence as he sometimes deliberately blunders into situations that put himself and others at risk, all to discover the truth. Twists and turns in the complexity of the story keep the reader turning the pages faster and faster until toward the end, where the text becomes more intense as the story takes on a supernatural and spiritual tone that, while surprising, brings all the pieces together.

I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and look forward to more Frank Corso mysteries.

–Shelburne, VERMONT

A unique mystery that plays out in a beautifully painted backdrop of the old Cajun New Orleans, where the reader walks the streets and becomes a part of the fabric of place with its lush details. The characters are dynamic, they spark off the page and entice you to keep reading and fall deeper into the richly orchestrated world of Frank Corso. Frank is an earthy flawed middle-aged bachelor and Wall Street analyst turned investigator. Frank is brought into an otherworldly spiritual mystery that defies his logical brain and kept me completely unsure of the next development until the very end. Now I am totally in want of the next book in the Frank Corso Mysteries.
